MICROMAX VIDEO 2 FULL REVIEW

The largest Indian mobile manufacturer, Micromax again came up with another budget phone in December 2016 which is called Micromax Video 2. Well as the name suggests it has pre-installed Google Duo for video calling.

DESIGN

Micromax Video 2 is a phone with curved edges. It is wrapped with brushed metal and plastic surrounding it. The device not very thin. The volume and power buttons on the right-side of the phone are clickable but not very premium. However, the device looks nice from a distance. It comes in two colours - champagne gold and grey-black.

DISPLAY

This phone comes with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480p.

HARDWARE

Inside the hood, this budget phone contains a 1.3Hz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM for smooth functioning. For storing apps, this phone gives you 8GB of internal storage along with an option of expandable storage which can be achieved with a microSD card.

SOFTWARE

The Video 2 is installed with Android 6.0 which works without any objection.

FEATURES

This phone has all the common features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. In Micromax Video 2 you can install two Micro-SIM cards. Both supports 4G/LTE(Band 40). It got most of the sensors which is commonly present in budget phone like proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope.

CAMERA

You can capture pictures with the 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera. The front camera is good because this phone was made to do video calling. The rear camera is not that good but at its price point, it does the work done. If you are a person who loves to click and upload then this phone is perfect for you. If you are a photographer then I would recommend not to buy this phone.

BATTERY

It has a 1800mAh battery to run this phone for about 7-9 hours depending on the usage.

CONCLUSION

Well, this phone is good at its price point. So, will I recommend to buy this device? Yes but there are also other options present in the market like the Yu Yunique, Redmi Note 3, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note. So, see the review of all these phones and then decide which one is perfect for you.
