PS4 SLIM

Sony released PS4 Slim, a successor of the standard PS4, in September 15.

The 500 GB model of the PS4 Slim is for $299.99, the same price as the original model it replaces, but there are certain changes seen in the PS4 Slim. Let's have a look at the changes.

A significant change on the basis of looks and design is the matte finish, which replaces the two-tone matte and glossy look of the standard PS4. The PS4 Slim is unlike the sharp edges as of that in the standard PS4. PS4 Slim has rounded edge making it more understandable to look.

The PS4 Slim is slimmer than the standard PS4 but it is not as slim as you think. It is 10 inches wide, 11 inches long, and 1.5 inches tall. It's only half and inch shorter and one inch narrower than the standard PS4.

Well one good change in the PS4 Slim is the clearly labelled physical power and eject buttons. It is far better than the tiny, nearly-invisible icons in the standard PS4. The two frontal USB slots has been oddly changed, with one at the edge and the other in the left side of the disc drive.

The removal of the optical audio-out port from the rear of the system is a disappointing change. It means that high-quality sound cannot be delivered.

There is a new light strip embedded in the touch panel.
